"Unhappiness and depression during those 9 months were no joke"

On the eve of her son Oliver's birthday, Jessica Athayde posted a video on her Instagram page in which she appears in the hospital bed.

In the caption, the actress said: "There is nothing I love more in life than being Oliver's mother. But as you well know, I could do without pregnancy. My unhappiness and depression during those nine months were no joke and took me to very dark places."

"The postpartum period was also a 'shit show' — but with the best of life in my arms" , she also confessed.

"I say all this to make it clear that I would go through it all again. And for the future mothers who are here and feel this way: do not devalue what you are going through. Talk to your doctors, psychologists, seek help" , she then highlighted.

"Ahh... and I say it again: it's worth it. Everything passes. Now I'm just going to go and hold my little boy while he's still five years old," he concluded.

It is worth remembering that little Oliver is the result of Jessica Athayde's relationship with Diogo Amaral.
